CORRIGAN – Corrigan-Camden ISD started off the school year on the right foot with Meet the Teacher held on Monday, August 22 from noon to 6 p.m.
Students and parents were able to visit school campuses and meet their teachers for the upcoming school year as well as receive pertinent information such as school supply lists, rules and procedures. This year's "Meet the Teacher" event saw well over 150 parents and students in attendance.
Shortly after this, all were invited to attend the Bulldog Supper and Meet the Bulldogs. Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks were available for all to sit back and take in all the changes and new surroundings at the high school.
Many were pleased to see first hand the beautiful new flooring in the old gym a the high school as well as freshly painted walls and logos throughout.
Fall athletic teams were featured at Meet the Bulldogs.
Each member of the volleyball team, cross-country team, and football team was introduced to the community as well as the C-CHS Spirit Sprinters, C-CHS cheerleaders, and the CCHS band drum majors.
On Friday, August 26, C-CHS held their first pep rally of the year. The C-CHS Bulldogs battled the Woodville
Eagles on Friday night. Below is a photo from the pep rally. Pep rallies are held every Friday afternoon prior to the high school football games and the community is invited to come out and let our boys and girls know that we BACK THE DAWGS!
This Thursday, the JV Dawgs travel to Centerville and on Friday the Varsity Dawgs host their first home game of the season with the Centerville Tigers, so come out and Back the Blue!
